Amazing shots of our Canadian made saunas all the way in Antarctica!!! Here is some comments from Leisurecraft themselves.
“These pictures are of a 780PV barrel sauna with an 8kw heater. Yes, this sauna is located in Antarctica at an adventure exploration lodge. This is a standard Panoramic barrel. No modifications have been made to it. The company is so happy with our sauna, they have ordered a second sauna!
We are often asked whether or not we insulate our saunas. Because the cedar wood is 1 3/8″ thick and is a natural insulator, we can design and manufacture saunas that work very well in cold, windy environments. Additionally, there is no need to insulate because there is nothing to freeze and the customer typically only takes a sauna bath for an hour or two per day.
All our staves are 1 3/8″ thick wood except the Hudson, Neptune and Orion. With these saunas, we use much thinner wood which is why we offer an insulation package for these three saunas.”
